Guest Post: Top 5 Most Beautiful Beaches in Thailand
Do you know where most beautiful beaches in Thailand are located?
Thailand is all in one: friendly, exotic, tropical, historic and fun. Thai architecture is one of the most interesting in the world; its nature is breathtaking. But, with a long coastline, sandy beaches and crystal clear water Thailand is a perfect romantic getaway. I’ve been there with my boyfriend a few times, so far, here is what I think that you have to visit, even for one day.
Karon is second largest beach in the Phuket Province, but the nicest one. Entire beach is public and it offers you a beautiful stretch of golden sand. Unlike other beaches in this province, Karon gives you quiet and romantic atmosphere and because of its position it gives you an amazing view of the sunset. If you want to have a quiet dinner by the sea, Karon is the beach for you and your significant other.
Chaweng, Koh Samui
Chaweng beach is 7 kilometres long, which makes it the longest Koh Samui beach. It is also the most popular one. Water is emerald blue, always warm and marine life is very interesting, which makes Chaweng beach one of the best places to dive in the world. Everything takes place on the beach, even the nightlife. If you and your partner are “party maniacs” this beach might be right for you. There are a lot of clubs, bars and discos lined on the beach which offers you a lot of entertainment. Definitely one of the most beautiful beaches in Thailand!
Bophut, Koh Samui
Bophut is a beach and a village on the north coast of the island. It is one of the few places in Thailand that keeps its original and traditional Thai atmosphere. Unlike Chaweng and its commercial elements, Bophut is romantic and cosy with a Fisherman’s village on the east side of the beach. There are a lot of nice restaurants by the beach, thus when we were there we used to have a romantic dinner by the sea every other evening, it was so beautiful that I was thinking of staying there to live by the beach.
Railey Beach, Krabi
The most amazing thing about this beach is its surroundings. Limestone cliffs and dense jungle makes it one of the Thailand’s most beautiful beaches. Although it is located on the mainland, it is only accessible by the boat, so you would feel like you are on the deserted island. It is still very discrete, quiet and relaxing, but it is becoming more and more popular, so if you want to get the right feeling visit this beach soon.
This is actually a bay on the Ko Phi Phi Lee island. Inside this bay, surrounded by the high cliffs, there are several beautiful beaches. We visited it a few years ago and realized why The Beach was filmed here. It is definitely one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited. But, this beauty has it’s not so nice side, it is overcrowded. There are thousands of people visiting it every day, which is understandable because this beach is The Beach from the film.
Believe me, it wasn’t easy to set apart these five beaches, because Thailand is so beautiful, so whichever destination you choose, you will enjoy it.
